Dale Chihuly’s Seaforms are an evolution of his Baskets, echoing their asymmetrical, slumping forms. In turn, they are the predecessor of his Persians, with their characteristic ribs that create a fascinating interplay of opacity and translucency.

The 2026 Brilliant Gold Seaform Studio Edition is a bold statement in form, color, and visual texture. Its edges, grazed with a citron lip wrap, rise and dip, emphasizing the piece’s undulating shape. A body wrap results in subtle wisps of red, accentuating the richness of the work’s warm, golden hue. The two nested elements create additional visual interest, resulting in a composition that suggests motion and commands attention.
