USS Constitution Copper Nail Ring

This ring is made from copper molded in the shape of a thin flat nail and then twisted to make it a ring. The outside of the ring is stamped "USS CONSTITUTION."

The ring is made from copper sheathing removed from the hull of "Old Ironsides" during regular maintenance. It is made by a local New England jeweler exclusively for the USS Constitution Museum. The ring comes mounted on a card that includes a certification of the copper's origin.
